Gloria's Travel Tips

Identify your luggage:  Ensure that you have tagged your luggage with your name and contact information and make your luggage stand out from others by wrapping a colored ribbon or band securely around the handle (nothing dangling) but be creative.

Have all your travel documents together in a holder (ticket jacket, folder, wallet, etc).  These items should include - passport/visas; personal ID; travel insurance policy; reservations / itineraries / boarding passes; and emergency contacts   I also leave a copy of my travel documents with a family member in case of an emergency.

: Pack light and make sure you are under the allowable weight and enough room for souvenirs on your return.  I carry a scale with me on all my trips.  Pack your most valuable (jewelry and electronics) and essentials items in a carryon bag.  In some countries you may need an adaptor for your electrical items.  Some important things to remember to pack are:  bathing suit, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, first aid kit and medicines.  Most resorts expect proper evening attire in the a la carte restaurants.
