K-ROCKER WHO CARES ON 89.3 K-ROCK
Volunteers do what they do because they care, not to get something in return. We think our Valley volunteers deserve a pat on the back, kudos on the radio, AND cool prizes!
We’re celebrating K-Rockers Who Care! Every month, we’ll applaud the work of one volunteer and give them a massage at Julie Skaling Physiotherapy Clinic, $100 at Sole Provider, and a $100 donation to their favourite charity!
JUNE KRWC: ALYSEIA SMITH
Alyseia's Nana writes:
"Hi K-Rock gang! I know you guys support all types of Cancer stuff so I wanted to tell you about my oldest granddaughter, Alyseia Smith who is a 17 year old Grade 11 student of NKEC. She has never cut her hair other than trims since she was born. She is going to Headliners Studio here in Kentville at 6:30pm tomorrow (Tuesday, June 20) and having her hair cut short and is donating what is cut to the Cancer Foundation for wigs for cancer patients. Hoping you may be able to have one of your crew to come and surprise her and let her know what an awesome thing she is doing. Thanks for being the best radio station ever and for possibly surprising her tomorrow."
and we did..
